YWCA Evanston/ North Shore
Services Offered
24 Hour Hotline • Domestic Violence • Crisis Intervention • Shelter Referrals
Description
The crisis line, operated by both staff and volunteers, serves as a 24-hour hotline for domestic abuse victims. The crisis line provides immediate intervention, emotional support and service referrals, as well as a preliminary assessment to determine eligibility if the caller is requesting emergency shelter. If space permits, eligible callers will be given instructions regarding transportation to Mary Lou's Place, a domestic violence shelter for women and their children.
