Description
In the Spirit Transformational Living provides a safe, compassionate, empowering, spiritual, drug-free, sober home for women of any race, creed, color or sexual orientation. Their focus is on healing women holistically by addressing issues of low self-esteem, domestic violence, sexual abuse, abandonment, guilt and shame.Women learn to become self-sufficient and how to lead more productive lives through the program which is designed to uplift, inspire, educate and empower.
A typical stay is 6 months-1 year, but no discharge date is given. Some women stay as long as 3 years.

Eligibility for admission:
- Completion of a 30 days Inpatient Program
- History of a Work Experience
- Medically and Psychologically Stable
- Minimum of 1 Month Supply of Medication
- Sponsorship within 30 days of Admission
Women enter the house on a grant so that they do not have to worry about finances in the early stages of their recovery. Residents are assessed after 3 or 4 months. Sometimes the grant is extended if circumstances dictate. When the resident is able to secure a job she begins to pay her share of rent.

How to Apply
Call 773-892-3155 for admissions. Staff will conduct a phone assessment and lead a conversation about what the applicant wants out of a recovery home. If both decide to proceed, staff will speak with the applicant's case worker or clinician and attain the necessary paperwork.
