Caritas offers outpatient methadone treatment for clients with opioid use disorder. Methadone is used to help eliminate withdrawal symptoms and cravings for opioids, plus block the effects of opioid use.
-Must be medically and psychologically stable as indicated by initial screening.
-Must have had opioid addiction for more than one year.
-Caritas accepts the following insurance: Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna,Community Care Alliance, County Care, Healthcare Alliance, IlliniCare, Next Level Health. Copays may apply: Medicaid MCO copays are on a sliding scale basis.
-Uninsured clients without income may receive treatment at no cost through the IDHS/DASA Opioid STR (State Targeted Response) Grant.

How to Apply
Call 312-850-9411 or walk in for an initial screening M-F 6:00am--5:00pm. If eligible, you will be scheduled for an intake appointment (if available) or put on the wait list. There is often a wait list for this program. Please bring the following to your appointment:
-Social Security card
-Insurance card (if applicable)
