The Maternal Addiction Center is a 16 bed program for chemically dependent women and their children. Clients work to develop the necessary skills for sound parenting, self-sufficiency, and a drug-free lifestyle. Services include:

-Individual, family, and group counseling
-Recovery coaching
-Parenting classes
-Parent coaching
-Lactation and nutrition services
-Pediatric nursing
-Child development services
-Pediatric social work
-Linkage to prenatal and postnatal care

The center is a DASA licensed, Medicaid Certified ASAM Level III.5 care facility.

-For women who are pregnant, recently gave birth to a Substance Exposed Infant (SEI), or are working with DCFS and the courts toward family reunification.
-Must meet one or more of the following criteria: requires methadone maintenance, postpartum on suboxone therapy, takes prescription medications for medical complications, has a history of mental illness or post-partum depression, or requires a special diet.
-Clients may bring up to 2 children, ages 0 to 5, into care with them.

How to Apply

Call central intake at 312-226-7984 x509 to begin the intake process. Please provide a photo ID at intake. If you do not have photo ID, staff can help you obtain one. Intake is available Monday through Saturday from 8:00am-10:30pm.
