New Vision is an emergency medical stabilization service for adults who are incapacitated by a serious substance use problem. Patients experience a safe withdrawal from drugs and/or alcohol over a three-day hospital stay in a secure environment. The program provides medical supervision and care for withdrawal symptoms and addiction-related health problems. New Vision services are confidential and voluntary.

-Accepts Blue Cross Blue Shield private insurance and Medicaid MCOs, including Blue Cross Blue Shield, CountyCae, Harmony, IlliniCare, Meridian, Molina, and NextLevel.
-Self pay patients are accepted. There is a flat fee of approximately $1500.
-Must have primary diagnosis of acute opioid and/or alcohol withdrawal or alcohol intoxication.
-The program is unable to accommodate pregnant women.

How to Apply

Call New Vision at 773-975-3282 (local) or 800-939-CARE (toll free) during business hours (weekdays 8:00am-6:00pm, weekends 9:00am-5:30pm) for an intake screening and to verify your insurance benefits. Please have your insurance information (if applicable) available when calling to speed up the verification process. Once your benefits have been verified (generally within 1-2 hours), you may admitted the same day. Admission is available 24/7. Please bring the following:

-Photo ID
-Insurance card, if applicable

If you are in crisis, you may walk in to the emergency room at any time to request detox, but it is strongly preferred that patients call ahead to schedule intake.
