Description
Presence Health inpatient behavioral health units offer 24-hour nursing care from specially-trained registered nurses and counselors. There are separate units for adults and older adults with chronic and acute psychiatric illnesses. Staff provide patients with brief, intensive, comprehensive care. Services include:
-Medication evaluation and medication management
-Individual, group and family therapy
-Substance use assessment and treatment
-Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT)
-Discharge planning

Eligibility
-For adults with the following diagnoses: anxiety disorders (e.g., generalized anxiety, panic disorder, PTSD), mood disorders (e.g., depression, bipolar disorder); dementia with related behavioral and/or emotional conditions; schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders, and dual diagnosis (concurrent mental illness and substance use disorder).
-Patients with concurrent health medical conditions, such as diabetes, HIV/AIDS, and hypertension can be accommodated and receive medical care as needed.
-Presence Health accepts a variety of behavioral health plans, including Aetna Cigna, Magellan, MHN, OptumHealth, and ValueOptions. Click here for the complete list of accepted plans.

-Uninsured patients will be referred to state hospitals for care.
