Description

New Hope currently staffs personnel with domestic violence certification through the Battered Women's Network. New Hope assists victims of domestic violence in establishing independence and decreasing chances of relapse. Services include

  • domestic violence education
  • group counseling
  • referral to legal, housing, employment, and advocacy resources

How to Apply

Call 773-737-9555 ext. 107 and ask to speak to the Victim Specialist and Domestic Violence Coordinator to be connected to intake services. A first appointment will be scheduled for a complete assessment including history of domestic violence, substance abuse or mental health issues and family/parenting issues, etc.

The program includes 12 weeks of mandatory group therapy and an optional life skills group for survivors of domestic violence. Groups are sex-segregated. Meeting times are below.

  • Women's group counseling: Tuesday and Thursday, 10:00am-12:00pm
  • Women's life skills group: Wednesday 10:00am-12:00pm and Thursday, 10:00am-12:00pm
  • Men's group counseling: Wednesday 1:00pm-3:00pm

If you need additional support, the program coordinator will determine whether continued participation in the group sessions may be beneficial.
