Description
SGA Youth & Family Services' Brighton Park Initiative provides Early Childhood, Student Support, Youth Justice, and Family and Community services for families in the Brighton Park area. Programs include:
-Early childhood education and school readiness for children ages 0-5 through Head Start, Early Head Start, and Early Advantage
-Parent education and family life skills
-Teen pregnancy prevention
-After school programs for youth
-College readiness
-Academic mentoring and counseling
-Substance use, bullying, and violence prevention programs for youth
-Drop out prevention
-Juvenile re-entry
-Health education
-Financial literacy
-Workforce development and youth employment
-Nutrition education
-Assistance transitioning to special education services for children with special needs
Transportation assistance may be available within a few milles of the center.

-For ages 0-24.
-For those who live or work in Brighton Park and surrounding neighborhoods.
-Income restrictions apply for Head Start programs. No one will be turned down for early childhood services, although a wait list may apply.

How to Apply
Call 773-321-9232 for an initial screening and to schedule an intake appointment. Please be prepared to provide the following at intake:
-Proof of household income
-Name and contact information for your primary care provider/medical home
-Family composition (e.g., number and ages of children)
