Description
The Adolescent Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) offers short term stabilization and treatment for teens with depression, anxiety, and other mental health concerns. The program is appropriate for those who need more intensive treatment than outpatient programs can provide, but do not require inpatient treatment. A multidisciplinary team provides treatment based on each individual's specific needs. The program includes:
-Individual counseling
-Group therapy
-Family therapy
-Art therapy
-2 hours per day of supervised study, with tutors available as needed
Treatment modalities may include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). A School Refusal PHP is available for youth with mental illness who have trouble attending school. Specialized treatment tracks address specific mental health concerns, including complex anxiety, substance use, obsessive compulsive disorder, and trauma.

Eligibility
-The School Refusal PHP program is available for youth ages 9-18.
-The program serves primarily those with severe depression, anxiety, or other mood disorders.
-Compass is in network with the following insurance plans: Blue Cross Blue Shield HMO and PPO, Cigna HMO and PPO, Humana PPO, and the University of Chicago Health Plan. For out of network providers, they will provide a code so clients can submit a claim for reimbursement.
-Interpreters can be provided if needed. Please inquire when calling for intake to make arrangements.

How to Apply
Call 224-803-2358 for an eligibility screening and to schedule an intake assessment with the program director. Following your assessment, the director will recommend the most appropriate program for your needs. You will then meet with family support staff to discuss insurance benefits and payment. The intake process takes approximately 2 hours. Please bring the following:
-Photo ID
-Insurance card
-Credit card or alternate ID (e.g., passport) to verify your identity
A wait list may apply, but clients can generally be admitted within a week.
