Description
DBSA offers peer-led groups providing emotional support to individuals affected by depression and bipolar disorder. The groups provide a safe space to share experiences and emotions. Meetings open with the reading of a "Hope and Wellness" statement. The main focus is on check-in about the week. The group often divides into small groups to allow time for everyone who would like to share to do so. Meetings close with an inspirational saying. The group also hosts social events for group members.

-To avoid triggering group members' symptoms, all members are asked to refrain from discussing details of sexual behavior, substance use, or suicide attempts.

How to Apply
Walk ins are welcome. Meetings are held on the fourth floor in room 420, at the end of the hallway on the right. When you arrive, a facilitator or another support group attendee will greet you. You will be asked to sign in with your contact information, which will be kept confidential.
Group times are as follows:
-Living With Depression and Bipolar: Thursday 6:00pm-7:45pm
-Families and Friends: Tuesday 6:00pm-7:30pm
