Description

Recovering With Pride offers culturally sensitive outpatient treatment for adults with substance use disorders. Services are provided by licensed mental health professionals with training in substance use and extensive experience working with LGBTQ clients. The program includes:

-Substance use assessments and treatment recommendations
-Individual counseling (generally 24 sessions)
-Group Therapy
-Support groups
-Couple and family counseling as needed
-Referral to other services (e.g., detox, inpatient treatment, sober living programs) as needed

Eligibility

-Howard Brown Health is in network with a variety of insurance plans, including Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, CountyCare, Harmony, IlliniCare,Medicaid, Medicare, Meridian, Molina, and United Healthcare.

How to Apply

Call the Recovery Line at 773-388-8891 for a phone screening. Staff will schedule you for an intake assessment if appropriate. A wait list generally applies, but new clients can generally be seen within a few weeks. Referrals to alternate services (including detox and inpatient treatment) are provided as needed. Please bring the following to your appointment:

-Photo ID
-Insurance card, if applicable
-Proof of household income, if applying for sliding scale fees. Click here and see "How Do I Qualify?" for acceptable proof of income

Counseling is provided Monday through Saturday: hours vary by therapist. Evening appointments are available. Support groups are also available, but you must call the Recovery Line and complete the intake process (including an assessment) before attending. The groups are not available on a walk in basis. Support groups include:

-Harm Reduction: Monday 6:00pm-7:30pm.Call 773-388-8908 for more information.
