Description
HAS’s Partner Abuse Intervention Program (PAIP) offers participants a combination of group and individual counseling that helps them to understand abusive behavior and refrain from engaging in it, together with strategies for recognizing anger and other emotions and dealing with them appropriately. This programming is gender-specific and is offered to both men and women, in both Spanish and English. The PAIP program meets state protocols for domestic violence programming and is approved by the Illinois Department of Human Services and by the local court system.
The group meets weekly for 24 sessions.

How to Apply
Call 773-252-3100 to schedule an intake appointment. Staff will explain the sessions and go over details such as cost, days offered, and duration. Please be prepared to provide:
-Photo ID
-Court Order
Although participation is voluntary, individuals may fulfill a court mandate by successfully completing this program.
If applying for sliding scale payments, bring proof of income.
The schedule is as follows:
-English speaking men's group: Monday 6:30pm-8:30pm or Wednesday 10:00am-12:00pm
-Spanish speakingmen's group: Wednesday or Thursday 6:30pm-8:30pm or Friday 10:00am-12:00pm.
-English speaking women's group: Thursday 3:30pm-5:30pm.
