Garfield Counseling Center offers methadone maintenance and counseling. MDs, nurses, and counselors are on staff. Group counseling services and case management are available.
- For individuals 18 years and older
- A sliding scale is used for those who do not have insurance cards. The highest amount per month is $40. The amount paid depends upon income and family size. Under special circumstances, a client may qualify for free services (ex: DCFS pregnant women, and HIV positive individuals).

How to Apply
Clients 18 years and older can walk in M-F 7:00am-2:00pm to fill out an admissions screening form and get on the waiting list, which is typically around 1 week. No phone screening is required. A referral from a social service agency moves a client up on the waiting list. Prospective clients should bring some picture ID (preferably a state ID), an insurance card, and a Social Security card.
