Description

Gateway offers medication assisted treatment (MAT) as part of a comprehensive substance use treatment program. MAT options include Suboxone (buprenorphine and naloxone) and Vivitrol (naltrexone).

Buprenorphine is used as a long-term treatment for opioid use disorder. It reduces withdrawal symptoms and blocks drug cravings. Naloxone prevents intentional misuse of burprenorphine by blocking the effects of the drug and causing immediate withdrawal when not used as directed. It must be taken daily.

Naltrexone is used to treat alcohol and/or opioid use disorder. It blocks the effects of alcohol and drugs and helps reduce drug cravings. It is given as a monthly injection.

Eligibility

-Must be receiving inpatient or outpatient substance use services through Gateway.
-Pregnant women and veterans receive priority for services.
-Gateway is in network with a variety of insurance plans, including Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, and United Healthcare.
-Medicaid and Medicaid Managed Care plans are accepted, but coverage varies by location. State funding may be available for uninsured individuals. Please call to inquire.

How to Apply

Call the 24-hour helpline at 877-505-4673 for a free consultation, including an insurance benefits check and eligibility screening. If eligible, you will be scheduled for an intake (if a space is available) or added to the wait list. Please bring the following:

-Photo ID
-Medical/insurance card

An evaulation is required prior to beginning services. A wait list may apply.
