Description

St. Bernard Hospital Behavioral Health offers a three day medical detoxification program for adults addicted to alcohol or heroin. The inpatient program supports patients through the detox process by managing their withdrawal, educating them about addiction and recovery, and connecting them with aftercare and long-term addiction treatment. Patients are monitored, and methadone is administered to reduce withdrawal symptoms. Group therapy is offered twice a day.

Eligibility

-Accepts County Care, Community Care Alliance (CCAI), Medicaid, Medicare, Molina, and Next Level Health, as well as in network private insurance. Advocate plans are not accepted.
-Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Family Health Network, and IlliniCare cover 23 hour observation only. Methadone is not covered.

How to Apply

Call 773-962-3968 to schedule an intake appointment. Admissions counselors are available 24/7, but it is preferred that you call during standard business hours (weekdays 9:00am-5:00pm) to speed up the insurance verification process. You must bring the following:

-Photo ID (driver's license or state ID)
-Insurance card
-Any medications you are prescribed

Admission is on a first come, first serve basis. Most patients are able to be admitted within one day after intake.
