Description
The Drug Free Program is an outpatient Level I and II substance use program. Patients in the Level I program may receive up to three counseling sessions a week, Level II is unlimited. Each session after the initial assessment is one hour. Group therapy generally is 2 hours long each week. Additional services include:
-Case management
-Substance use education
-Referral to mental health treatment and domestic violence programs as needed
The Drug Free Program collaborates with Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, and AL-ANON to provide ongoing support to individuals in recovery.

Eligibility
-The program is unable to accommodate individuals with heroin addiction. A methadone detox program is available.
-There is a fee of $30 for the initial assessment. Program fees are $10 per week and a $20 monthly fee for mandatory random drug testing.

How to Apply
Referrals from DCFS, the court system, and domestic violence service provides are accepted but not required. Call 773-277-3413 x292 to schedule an in-person assessment. Please bring the following documentation:
-Photo ID
-Parole officer's contact information, if applicable
-Lawyer's contact information, if applicable
The assessment generally takes 2-3 hours. After the assessment, you will be admitted to the program or added to a wait list if appropriate.
