Description
Cook County Health & Hospitals System runs the medical clinic at ChicagoCAC. Three board-certified child abuse pediatricians staff the clinic and provide comprehensive, developmentally-sensitive, trauma-informed medical assessments and care for child sexual abuse.
The clinic sees patients referred to ChicagoCAC to ensure the health of the alleged child victim. The visit includes documenting medically-evident signs of abuse, collecting physical evidence as indicated, testing and treating for sexually transmitted infections and other conditions related to sexual abuse, and addressing any underlying medical, developmental or psychological concerns.

Accepted insurance plans can be viewed here.
Patient will be billed for the visit, but in the tradition of Cook County Health & Hospitals System services, medical services are provided to anyone, regardless of their ability to pay. Uninsured patients should call (866) 223-2817 to apply for financial assistance. Patients' responsibility for the bill will be based on ability to pay.

Please note that all clients must be referred to ChicagoCAC through the Department of Children and Family Services or Chicago Police Department. If you suspect a child is being abused, call the child abuse hotline 1-800-25-ABUSE (1-800-252-2873) or 911.
