Description
The Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) provides mental and behavioral services for youth needing a more intense level of care. IOP helps participants learn to recognize, cope with, and talk about their symptoms, needs, thoughts, and feelings.The program is held for 4 hours after school: a complimentary dinner is provided. Teens attend 3 days per week, for an average of 8 weeks. The program includes weekly family therapy.

Eligibility
-The program is primarily for ages 12 to 17. Students 18 years old may also participate.
-Staff can provide individual and family therapy in multiple languages. The IOP groups are run in English, but translators are available via a language line if needed.
-Presence Health accepts a variety of Medicaid and private insurance plans. Please contact your insurance provider prior to intake to verify your benefits.
-Financial assistance is available to those who qualify.
-The facilities are fully wheelchair-accessible.

How to Apply
Call the intake line at 312-491-5220 and leave a message. Your call will be returned within 24-48 hours. A staff member will explain the program and conduct a brief eligibility screening before scheduling an intake appointment. The intake appointment includes a brief interview, assessment, and orientation and takes about an hour. Insurance coverage will be verified prior to admission.
There is generally no wait list for services.
