Description
The Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) offers treatment for teens with depression, anxiety, and other mental health concerns. A multidisciplinary team provides treatment based on each individual's specific needs. Services may include:
-Individual counseling
-Group therapy
-Family therapy
-Psychiatric care and medication management
-Care coordination with outside health care providers
-Art therapy
-Pet therapy
-Yoga therapy
The program uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients develop skills such as emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, social skills, and effective communication. Specialized treatment tracks are available for those with obsessive compulsive disorder, complex anxiety disorders, substance use, and trauma. Clients generally remain in the program for three to five weeks.

Eligibility
-The program serves primarily those with severe depression, anxiety, or other mood disorders.
-Compass is in network with the following insurance plans: Blue Cross Blue Shield HMO and PPO, Cigna HMO and PPO, Humana PPO, and the University of Chicago Health Plan. For out of network providers, they will provide a code so clients can submit a claim for reimbursement.
-Interpreters can be provided if needed. Please inquire when calling for intake to make arrangements.

How to Apply
Call 224-803-2358 for an eligibility screening and to schedule an intake assessment with the program director. Following your assessment, the director will recommend the most appropriate program for your needs. You will then meet with family support staff to discuss insurance benefits and payment.The intake process takes approximately 2 hours. Please bring the following:
-Photo ID
-Insurance card
-Credit card or alternate ID (e.g., passport) to verify your identity
A wait list may apply, but clients can generally be admitted within a week.
